Specifications created in the PLM Scamark portal all go through a validation cycle which consists of different steps, each with its own associated status.
You will find below the flow chart of the specification validation process, as well as a detailed definition of each status.
**Please note that not every specification goes through each of these statuses, some statuses are overlooked or unnecessary for certain specifications**

Supplier Draft
When a specification is created by a supplier, it is in ‘Supplier Draft’ status. When you are ready to share the specification with Scamark, you can move the specification to ‘Collaborative Draft’.
Scamark Draft
When a specification is created by Scamark, it is in ‘Scamark Draft’ status, and it can only be seen by Scamark users. When Scamark is ready to share the specification with you, it will be moved to ‘Collaborative Draft’.
Collaborative Draft
At this stage, the specification can be modified by Scamark and the supplier (however not at the same time) so that the specification can be completed collaboratively.
Gate Step
If a specification is at this step, it is locked, and you cannot make changes before the Pack Copy has been sent. The Pack Copy is the document which contains all the legal copy for the design of the label/proofreading, which is included in the different sections of the specifications.
Pack Copy Sent
At this stage, all the parts of the specifications which specifically apply to the legal pack copy are locked. Modifications can no longer be made to the details which have already been sent to the design agency.
Scamark Authorised
A specification can be moved to this status by a Scamark user – all the fields are locked and ready for the supplier to authorise the specification.
Supplier Authorised
Once the supplier has authorised the specification, it is moved to this status.
Active
This is the status of a specification once it has been approved by the supplier and Scamark.
