1. To access the product record in which you want to create your new specification, open the 'Product' menu and select 'Product records'. Double-click on the product you want:
2. Once the product record is opened, click on the 'Specifications' tab. Select 'Actions', then 'New Specification' :
You will then have the choice to either create a New Specification or copy an existing one.
It doesn't matter the status of the specification you choose to duplicate, including Collaborative Draft.
You can tick the box 'Copy attachments' if you also wish to join the same attachments as the ones from the specification you're duplicating.
3. Tick the box of the specification you're copying from (in this example, the 6121) and then click the 'Finish' button in the bottom right corner:
4. The new duplicated specification will open in a pop-up window. Make sure to click on 'Actions' and then 'Save and exit'.
5. The last step is to look for it via the 'Product' menu and then select 'Specifications'. You can now change the pieces of information differing between the original and new specifications you just created.
